All purpose Flour (Weizenmehl)
500 Gram
Baking Powder (Dr. Oetker Original Backin)
2.5 Teaspoon
Sugar
150 Gram
Eggs (Medium size)
2 Number
Butter or Margarine (Soft)
200 Gram
Vanilla Sugar (Dr. Oetker Vanillin Zucker)
1 Packet
Filling
Apple ( ideal: Holsteiner Cox, sweet & sour)
1 Kilogram
Lemon (Big) (Zitrone)
1 Number
Sugar
50 Gram
Vanilla Sugar (Dr. Oetker Vanillin Zucker)
1 Packet
Powdered Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon

Steps

  1. Prepare the Springform pan (baking paper and butter). Heat the oven - approx. 180 deg. celsius (top and bottom heat)
  2. Base -

    Mix the flour and backing powder in a mixing bowl. Add all the other ingredients and mix it with a mixer , first at low speed then till the highest speed till it has crumble consistency. Add 2/3 of the mixture to the springform pan and press it till itcomes to a height about 3cm.

  3. Filling-

    Peel the apples and cut it into wedges (see pics). Mix it with other ingredients and add it to the springform. Then add the rest of the crumble mixture on top of it. Now place it in oven.

  4. After it is done, remove the cake from the pan and leave it to cool.

    Before serving, sprinkle some icing sugar on top.

    Serve with whipped cream.
